Inter Trauma Nexus offers a professional supervision program for counsellors, pastors and care workers.
There will be an information sharing session on 20 February 2020 at 14h00, in Centurion, Tshwane for all prospective participants. You are most welcome to attend, because this is a prospective long-term commitment.
This programme is under the leadership of Dr Barbara Louw, our Chief Executive Officer for the past 22 years.
Dr Louw is a recognised as supervisor by CPSC/ACRP, a SAQA accredited professional body. A summary of her CV is available on www.barbaralouw.com.
Effective beginnings set the tone for successful long-term relationships. Therefore, all potential supervisees will be assessed before contracting. The assessment will start with sending an email to to request the application form and detail about the program.
Participants need to have internet access and will be required to log in on our Aquilla Training site for admittance to the material and to submit documentation. Some supervisees live outside Pretoria and the program is design to accommodate long distance interaction.
Acceptance is not guaranteed, because a limited number of people will be accepted in the programme.
The goal of professional supervision is to build and advance the supervisee’s skills, knowledge and attitudes to improve client care and enhance professional growth and development as a counsellor.
Supervisee will learn how to manage an ethical practice more effectively, through ethical conduct.
The coaching section of the program aims to recognize potential problems and proactively deal with those.
This is an external program, outside the supervisee’s workplace or practice.
Supervisees can choose from three payment options, a 3 month plan (Jade); 6 month plan (Topaz) and the premium 12 month plan (Ruby).
Program is suitable for new and seasoned counsellors.
Face-to-face and group interactions will be pitched according to the experience levels and questions from the attendees.
The supervisor provides leadership, liaises with professional bodies and serves as role model, facilitator and coach.
