He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly,
and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

Dear Friend

The Preacher says, “Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things” (Ecclesiastes 11:4). When the Gospel says we will have joy and gladness, that is what we will have if we live in God. I don’t have to understand where the joy and gladness will come from, but I have to know what/who robs me of God's promises and get rid of the happiness destroyer in the Name of Jesus! God made a promise, and that settles it in my heart.

Luke 1:14: “You will have great joy and gladness.”

My prayer. Heavenly Father, thank You for speaking to us in simple terms so that even children can understand Your Word. Thank You for Your great joy and gladness. I rebuke the happiness destroyer in the Name of Jesus to stay out of my life and my home. Lord, please show me if I make stubborn choices and say unwise things that undermine Your promises from coming true in my life. I long to hear Your Voice and know that Your Word settles things in my life. Amen.

Let Jesus be the source of joy and happiness for you.
